Pastor Jared Michael was born in Michigan, but moved to Baltimore when his father was called to pastor a church on the Westside of Baltimore. From a young age, he felt a call to give his life to serving the people of Baltimore. The idea for CityBeat was birthed when Jared heard a sermon by Pastor Matthew Barnett of the Los Angeles Dream Center. From that point on, Jared wanted to see a church that reached out to people that nobody wanted - a 24/7 church that ministered to the broken hearted and lost souls of Baltimore City. Pastor Jared studied at James River Leadership College in Springfield, Missouri, and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.
